BESS projects can be created by navigating the analysis tab and selecting the type Battery Storage.
These projects can create new reports called the Battery Storage Due Diligence reports. These provide the user with information on BESS site selection, including but not limited to arbitrage data and supporting infrastructure (locality to substations, data centers, solar/wind farms etc).
In Analysis, you can import a project or select Create New Project.
Choose an Analysis project for additional functionality such as delete, duplicate or export. To view the project, select the project record, then Open Project.
The Development tab allows a user to customize their project area by digitizing geometry on the map, selecting parcels of interest or selecting existing infrastructure. To get started select Add Outline.
Further customize your project in the POI (bus name & end point of interconnection) and Interconnection (model type, NRIS vs. ERIS, Series, Case Study) subtabs.
The Environmental tab provides users with an overview of the project’s risk levels and any acreage limitations .
The Infrastructure tab includes four subtabs, each providing information about nearby and potential project infrastructure:
Electrical: Displays data on the nearest substation, transmission line, distribution line, solar farm, and wind farm.
Data Centers: Shows the location of the nearest data center and fiber network cables.
Renewables: Provides details on potential capacity, output, and an estimate of the number of solar panels.
Power Plants: Hhows the nearest power ploants broken down by type (geothermal, nuclear, hydro, gas, petroleum, etc.)
The Electricy Prices tab allows a user to view the Nearest Pricing Node as well as PPA estimates.
With your BESS project selected, navigate to the Development tab.
Optional: Update the POI and Interconnection details to fit your project using the drop down options.
